Research and Doctoral Studies Department

The Department oversees the organization of doctoral programmes, coordinates research and creative activities across the University’s academic units, and promotes the integration of research outcomes into teaching and artistic practice.

Main Areas of Activity

The Department is responsible for:

• coordinating research activities across the University’s faculties and departments;
• administering doctoral and dissertation programmes;
• supporting the development of highly qualified academic and research personnel;
• coordinating the University’s research planning and annual research reporting;
• overseeing the publication of the University’s academic journals, including Culture World and ASUCA Scientific Works;
• managing the University’s plagiarism detection system to promote academic integrity;
• organizing international and national scientific conferences, seminars, and academic events;
• coordinating the activities of the University’s Scientific and Methodological Council, Artistic Council, and Student Scientific Society;
• supporting the publication of monographs, textbooks, teaching materials, and other scholarly works.

Sevinj Mammadova
Specialist

Sevinj Mammadova graduated from ASUCA with a degree in Theatre Studies. She has been a member of the University’s academic staff since 2007, having worked in both the Department of Film Studies and the Department of Musical Theatre Acting. Since 2022, she has served as a Specialist in the Research and Doctoral Studies Department, where she supports the administration of research activities and doctoral education.
