Namig Asad oglu Karimov was born on August 6, 1993 in the Minjivan settlement of the Zangilan region. In 2010, he was admitted to the Faculty of International Relations and Regional Studies at Baku Slavic University, majoring in Turkish Studies, and graduated from that university in 2014 as an “Honorary Graduate”. He also participated in the “Project Management” program held in cooperation with Gazi University and the Council of Europe in 2012. In 2017-2019, he received a master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Baku Engineering University. In 2019-2020, he worked as a researcher-assistant at the UN International Organization for Migration in “The Community Stabilization Unit”. I have also been a counterpart in organizing awareness-raising events and bilateral negotiations with state and international organizations. In addition, he worked as one of the main implementers in the projects “Strengthening the Resilience of Vulnerable Communities” and “Public Action for Sustainability”.
In May 2019, he was eligible to participate in the Migration Summer School under the Erasmus + program and took a 1-week professional development course in Spain. In July 2019, he defended his dissertation titled “Turkey-Russia Relations during the Justice and Development Party” and graduated from Baku Engineering University with a “Diploma with Distinction”. In August 2020, he won a scholarship to study at the MaRTe master’s program at the University of Bergamo, Italy. In October 2021, he graduated from the same university with a “Distinction Degree” in the specialty “Prevention and Combat of Radicalization, Terrorism, International Integration and Security Policy”. In 2021-2022, he worked as a junior specialist/business analyst in Human Resources at Ekvita Company. He also worked as a lecturer at the Department of Tourism Business at the Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management. In January 2021, the US Embassy, with the support of USAID, accepted him to the “Creating and Enhancing Research Capabilities in Azerbaijan” program implemented at ADA University and graduated with high results in the subjects of “Research Methods, Academic Writing and Statistics”. Namig Karimov also worked as a manager and trainer of the “Media Literacy” project implemented at the American Centers located in the regions of Azerbaijan. In addition, he worked as a scientific manager of the “Start Up” project related to the creation of the “Online Education” platform. In 2023, Namig Karimov’s project “Researching the Intersection of Arts and Politics in the European Union” submitted within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module was funded by the European Commission. Namig Karimov is also a manager and researcher of the project “Strengthening Sustainable Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Higher Education Institutions of Azerbaijan (ENGAGE)”, in which ADMIU is a partner.
