The Department of Literature and Languages, one of the leading departments of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, was established in 1966.

Operating within the Faculty of Audiovisual Arts, the department provides instruction in three main areas and carries out teaching, methodological, scientific, and pedagogical activities in the fields of foreign languages, literature, and the Azerbaijani language.
