The Department of Fine Arts is one of the academic and research units of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, playing a significant role in the professional development of students.
At the undergraduate level, the Department provides specialist training in Painting (050315), Graphics (050313), and Fine Arts Education (050119), while also conducting teaching, methodological, and research activities across a range of disciplines.

From 2014 to 2018, the Department was headed by the renowned People’s Artist Khanlar Ahmadov. Between 2018 and 2019, the position was held by Afat Aslanova, PhD in Art Studies. Since 17 December 2019, the Department has been headed by Honoured Artist Rashad Jabarov, Associate Professor.
